How many of the presidents were decended from the British Royal Family, and who were they???

The total is five presidents: George Washington, Richard Nixon, James Monroe, Thomas Jefferson and William Henry Harrison. All them were descended from Edward III.

wasnt William Henry Harrison decended from King Henry lll (1207-1272) ???? and was Benjamin Harrison the 23rd president his grandson???

I have researched your last response and discovered that you are correct. The Harrisons were descended from Henry III. Now, a question for you. Do you know how many presidents were not of British descent? Can you name any of them?

Great question, got me going there for a while but my answer is three and they are
Martin Van Buren 8th president 1837-1841
Herbert Hoover 31st President 1929-1933
Dwight David Eisenhower 34th President 1953-1961
Some consider the Roosevelts because of their predominant Dutch,Huguenot background but they also have some Scots and English stock in their ancestry, so i would discount them.

We already discussed the Harrisons..So the only other two that spring quickly to mind are John Adams and John Q. Adams..father and son. Teddy Roosevelt and Franklin D. Roosevelt, cousins...and I am sure there are more. Even Geoge Bush, Sr. and Bill Clinton are distantly related. I am sure you are prepared to tell me if there are even more????

If George Dubbaya Bush becomes the next president, how many presidents have had a son become a president, or a grandson even???

John Adams and John Q. Adams were father and son. I do beleive we have a grandfather and grandson who were both presidents but i do not remember which ones...lol My guess is 6 total if Georgie Jr. becomes pres...i am sure you will tell me the correct answer?
