Searching for information on the families of John Ellis b. 1832 & Sarah Bywater born 1833 who lived in the areas of Diddlebury & Stanton Lacy in Shropshire, ENG., and John Morris born 1835 and Anne Jones b. 1837 who lived in the areas of Churchstoke & Bishop's Castle, ENG. Know of 5 children in the John Ellis family and 11 children in the John Morris family but am searching for any descendants.
My paternal grandfather was Edward Ellis b. June 6, 2025 in Stanton Lacy and my paternal grandmother was Margaret Hannah Morris b. Oct. 26, 1870 in Churchstoke. They were married Feb. 26, 1895, in Bishop's Castle and came to Canada where they lived,worked farms, and raised a family in Leeds County, Ontario. While my grandmother maintained contact with members of her family, my grandfather did not. Margaret had a sister Anne Elizabeth Morris b. 1865 who came to Canada as a domestic servant and married a William Gough. A letter exists from an older brother of Margaret's a George who sent her money and there are many photos of people and places in England but they are not titled.
