Unit One - Activity 4

Write a checklist that would help a new employee to understand how resources are used efficiently in your organisation.

The student’s checklist may cover any of the following points:

  • Time - prioritising tasks and doing the most important one(s) first
  • Human Resources - working in a team where everyone takes responsibility for specific tasks
  • Energy - switching off electrical equipment when it isn’t being used for long periods
  • Stationery - recycling paper in the office
  • Equipment - not eating or drinking near a computer
  • Stock - Storing stock in the right place and the right conditions.

    The checklist may also cover other categories of resources such as finance, fixtures and fittings, communication systems, tools and space.
