The report should identify clearly how the student applied the ‘silent movies’ technique. Their answer should provide evidence of how they perceived the ‘emotional content’ of the performances they watched. They should then go on to explain how their perceptions changed when the performances were watched with the volume up. More comprehensive answers will also show that the student has practised the technique to tune into specific emotions and has reflected on their observations.
