Stonewall Jackson ( 1824 - 1863)
Thomas Jonathan Jackson was born in West Virginia, on January 21, 1824 In May 1863, at the battle of Chancellorsville, Jackson's men struck and drove the enemy back with great force. At the break of nightfall, Jackson went away to scout. As he was coming back, some of his own men mistook him for the enemy, and shot him. Eight days after he was shot, Jackson died of pneumonia. .
